Almost two years ago, Victor and I decided to head north. We have cherished our time here being with my family, learning English (Victor), playing in the snow, and serving alongside our church family at Village Bible Church Campus Español. During this time, we also had the opportunity to visit and serve the people that we love in Piedras Negras, Mexico.
This past year, I helped out as a part-time coordinator for CrossRoads Missions in Mexico. It is a role that I have grown to enjoy, and I always return north dreaming about ministry opportunities in Piedras Negras. CrossRoads serves in the city by sharing Christ’s love and meeting the needs of local ministry partners through outreach activities and construction projects. Ministries we currently serve include: Piedra Angular (a neighborhood and home base of CrossRoads), Casa de Paz (a children’s home) and Colegio Libertad (the private Christian school where I used to teach English and Art). You can learn more about CrossRoads Missions at crossroadsmissions.com.
I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted the position as the Field Coordinator with CrossRoads Missions in Mexico. This role includes working with full-time staff to carry out established goals, fostering relationships with ministry partners, and evaluating how we can serve Piedras Negras together. In addition, I will oversee administrative tasks, provide financial accounting, and coordinate general care for staff and U.S. participants who help us serve in the community. I believe that my organizational skills, passion for serving cross-culturally, and connecting with people, are a good match for this ministry position.
Our goal is to be back in Piedras Negras by September 2015. My next step is to form a support team, and I would like for you to be a part of it. Whether investing in me through prayer, correspondence, or financial donations, I would enjoy spending time with you to share more of my love for Mexico and specific needs that exist in Piedras Negras. I am also excited to share that I have created a website, crossinglove.com, which includes information, updates, and ways for us to remain connected.
The blog entry above is an excerpt from my initial newsletter.

I would love to send it your way.
